Grilled Cheese & Homemade Tomato Soup

Sunday is my birthday.

In our family, we get to choose our favorite meal for our birthday dinner.
My favorite is grilled cheese and homemade tomato soup.
You will learn how to make that today!

First, gather your ingredients.
(Recipe is at the end of this post.)

Next, butter your bread, add the cheese and grill your sandwich.

Grill it until its golden brown and the cheese is melty.

Serve it with tomato soup.
I like to dip my sandwich in my soup.
Its sooooo good!

Homemade Tomato Soup

1 T butter
1/4 c onion, diced
1/4 c celery, diced
3 T flour
1 T garlic, minced
1/2 t sea salt
1/2 t pepper
2 t basil
2 t sugar
3 c milk
1 large can crushed tomatos

Saute butter, onion, celery, garlic salt, pepper and basil for about 5 minutes.
Add flour and sugar and milk and tomatoes.
Mix and allow to simmer a short time.
