Sunday is my birthday.
In our family, we get to choose our favorite meal for our birthday dinner.
My favorite is grilled cheese and homemade tomato soup.
You will learn how to make that today!
First, gather your ingredients.
(Recipe is at the end of this post.)
Next, butter your bread, add the cheese and grill your sandwich.
Grill it until its golden brown and the cheese is melty.
Serve it with tomato soup.
I like to dip my sandwich in my soup.
Its sooooo good!

Hi Kayla
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I hope you have a most wonderful day celebrating! I really enjoy reading your food blog, you are doing a great job with it! I'm hungry now for some soup!!
Yum! I love grilled cheese. How awesome that you love to cook at such a young age! I have a daughter who is almost six, and she likes being in the kitchen, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love tomato soup....I will try your recipe.
ReplyDeleteI love grilled cheese and tomato soup together, too. My boys don't like the tomato soup, since they don't like tomatoes, but they love grilled cheese. Yours looks like it was done just perfectly. I was wondering, does sea salt make the soup taste better than just regular salt?
ReplyDeleteHey Beth! (Its the mom, here...) We just switched to sea salt a while ago for health reasons. Regular salt is fine, too. :) And believe it or not, Kayla doesn't like tomatoes either, but she DOES like tomato products (soup, sauce, salsa, etc). Go figure!
DeleteSo now you have me curious. What makes sea salt healthier?
